6'6" freshman QB Grant Vigen brings size, pedigree, and upside to Montana State
Vigen is an intriguing long-term fit at quarterback because he combines uncommon pro-style size at 6-foot-6, 211 pounds with in-state familiarity and a strong Montana prep résumé. As a Gallatin product, he threw for 1,409 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior after posting 3,511 career passing yards and 46 touchdowns in high school, while earning first-team all-conference honors. He is not yet a proven college producer, so the appeal is projection: a big-frame passer with room to develop who could fit a structured offense and reward patience.
