Four-Star DB with Elite Speed and Loose Hips for Arizona State
Isaiah Johnson, a four-star cornerback for Arizona State, stands out with his verified 4.52-second 40-yard dash, loose hips, and smooth backpedal, making him a dynamic differentiator in coverage. At 6-1 and 186 lbs (carrying 200 comfortably), he combines elite speed with quick directional changes, allowing just 5.7 yards per coverage target in his 2022 redshirt freshman season. Though he recorded 16 tackles and 2 breakups in six games, his intensity and loose transition to turns are his true strengths, not just stats. No major injury history is noted, and his personality is described as eager and driven. For teams seeking a fast, agile DB with high coverage efficiency, Johnson is a strong fit, especially in schemes demanding speed and agility over pure size.
