Carlton Jones brings veteran burst and proven downhill pop to FSU’s backfield
In the 2026 season, Carlton Jones has 11 carries for 99 yards and 1 touchdown, a sharp 9.0 yards per carry that hints at big-play ability rather than volume work[2]. He’s listed at 5-11, 215 and has a reputation as a sturdy, physical runner who can handle contact and finish runs, while Florida State’s roster and recruiting profile show he remains part of the Seminoles’ RB mix[1][3]. If a team wants a compact, efficient runner with power and burst, he fits; if it needs a pure feature-back workload, that’s less clear from the current usage[1][2].
