NC State’s Former Interior Disruptor Built on Power and Leverage
DeMarcus “Tank” Tyler was a powerful, high-motor defensive tackle for NC State whose game was defined by strength, leverage, and combine-grade explosiveness—he was noted for posting the best bench press at the 2007 NFL Combine and earned first-team All-ACC honors in his senior season after a standout year at NC State. He’s the kind of interior lineman teams value for toughness and gap control more than flashy stats, and his profile fits a defense that wants a physical, relentless presence in the middle.
