Tony Akins is Georgia Tech’s steady shot-making lead guard
Akins is a reliable, high-usage point guard whose best value comes from shot creation, perimeter scoring, and running the offense under pressure. In his Georgia Tech senior season, he averaged 17.0 points, 5.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game while knocking down 40% of his threes and 83% of his free throws, and he finished strong with 22 points and 6.2 assists over the final five regular-season wins. He stands out for toughness, late-season production, and a proven ability to balance scoring with distribution.
