Joey Tate brings all-court polish and winning pedigree to UTRGV
Joey Tate’s profile points to a versatile forward with a strong track record of production and team success, highlighted by his Taft résumé as a 1st Team All-City, 1st Team All-Region, and 2nd Team All-State performer who also earned two team MVP awards. That kind of résumé suggests a player who impacts winning beyond the box score—competitive, dependable, and comfortable in a featured role. For UTRGV, he looks like the type of forward who can fit a team-first system and bring toughness, maturity, and consistency rather than flashy one-night numbers.
