Osita Smith brings veteran linebacker upside with proven disruption
Osita Smith is a Maryland linebacker who profiles as a physical, assignment-ready defender with a track record of disruptive plays in the 2021 season, when he was credited with 3.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack in limited action. He’s intriguing because he offers length, toughness, and special-teams value, but the bigger story is fit: he looks like the kind of player who can help a defense with energy and effort even when the stat sheet stays quiet. For a team needing downhill physicality and depth, he’s worth a look.
