Cal Poly WR with Elite Route-Running and 7-TD Senior Year Intensity
Jake Smeltzer, Cal Poly's WR #11, stands out not just for his 43 catches, 730 yards, and 7 touchdowns in his senior year, but for his elite route-running precision, first-team All-South Coast League pedigree, and relentless intensity that keeps him on the field despite a smaller senior class. His third-team All-State (CA) recognition and 247Sports ranking (WR #288 nationally) reflect a player with rare football IQ and adaptability. While no major injury history is recorded, his consistent starts (four as a sophomore) and depth-chart leadership signal durability and trust from coaches. For teams seeking a smart, intense, and technically polished receiver who thrives in tight coverage, Smeltzer is a high-fit prospect with proven production and leadership.
