A.J. Fox gives Akron a proven leg with real big-play kicker upside
A.J. Fox is a dependable Akron kicker whose value goes beyond basic made kicks: in the 2026 season, Akron’s place-kicking chart shows he has been part of a unit that’s been steady on extra points, and his long history with the program suggests trust, composure, and specialist reliability under pressure[9][10]. His profile is the kind coaches love for close games—disciplined, experienced, and built for field-position football—which makes him a solid fit if a team wants consistency more than flash[3][5].
