Ella Squaires remains a sparkplug for UMBC in centerfield
In the 2025 season, Ella Squaires hit .299 with 23 runs scored, 10 RBI, and 6 steals in 9 attempts, following a breakout 2024 season when she hit .393 with 30 runs, 10 RBI, and 18 steals in 22 attempts. She’s a reliable top-of-order table-setter with speed, contact skills, and enough defensive trust to stay on the field nearly every day. The differentiator is her consistency: she puts the ball in play, creates pressure on the bases, and has already earned All-Conference and All-Rookie recognition. If you want a gritty, athletic outfielder who affects the game in multiple ways, she’s your kind of player.
