Josh Jasek brings depth as Illinois State’s backup kicker, but still has to prove the leg is reliable
In the 2023 season, Josh Jasek saw action in three games for Illinois State as a backup placekicker, going 0-for-2 on field-goal attempts while also handling three kickoffs. That profile suggests a player with roster value as a developmental specialist, but not yet one with proven game-day consistency in pressure kicking situations. If you need a kicker with experience, upside, and flexibility on special teams, he’s worth watching; if you need an immediate automatic answer, the current production says he still has to earn that trust.
