Carlos Aviles brings a throwback DB mentality, but his Indiana State résumé is old school
Carlos Aviles was listed as a 6-foot, 210-pound defensive back for Indiana State and arrived with an all-state honorable mention pedigree from Valor Christian, where he produced 55 total tackles as a senior and 42 tackles with 3.5 sacks as a junior in the 2013 season[1][2]. The scouting vibe is clear: he was valued for physicality, run support, and disruptive edge-flash from the secondary, but the publicly available Indiana State material is from 2013, so there is no current 2026 performance data to verify[1][2]. If a team wants a sturdy, downhill DB with a knack for contact, that’s the profile; if it needs recent production markers, the file is frustratingly thin[1][2].
