veteran Blue Raiders DT built on effort, leverage, and leadership
Ty Nix is a seasoned Middle Tennessee defensive tackle who brought a sturdy 6-foot, 258-pound frame, game experience, and captain-level leadership to the Blue Raiders, with eight tackles and a half-TFL in his 2020 season showing he can hold his ground inside. His value goes beyond the box score: he’s a homegrown Murfreesboro product, a former team captain, and the kind of reliable, assignment-sound interior lineman coaches trust to anchor the run defense and set the tone with toughness and consistency.
