Air Noland brings blue-chip polish and a real QB battle to Memphis
Air Noland is a redshirt sophomore transfer quarterback at Memphis who arrived with major pedigree, including a No. 56 national ranking in the 2024 class, and he’s currently in a live battle for the Tigers’ starting job. The draw is his accuracy, timing, touch, and advanced feel as a passer; recruiting and scouting notes also praise his calm processing and ability to distribute the ball efficiently, while his more modest arm strength and limited college game reps are the main question marks. In the 2025 season, he completed 2 of 3 passes for 13 yards at South Carolina, so Memphis is betting on projection, not production—yet.
