Kellen Yancy brings length, experience, and a cornerback’s mentality to Houston
Kellen Yancy is a senior cornerback for Houston who stands out more for his frame, veteran experience, and defensive versatility than for flashy headline stats. At 6-foot and 185 pounds, he has the build to hold up in coverage and support the run, and Houston lists him as a senior from Los Angeles, which adds leadership value for a secondary that needs reliability. ESPN and Houston’s roster confirm his role, while recruiting/profile data also show he has been viewed as a defensive back rather than a one-dimensional outside corner, making him a solid fit for teams that value adaptable, physical coverage players.[1][2][3]
