Andrew Shafis brings steadiness and defensive upside to Drake’s linebacker room
Shafis is a **fit for a disciplined, winning program**: Drake has stayed among the Pioneer Football League’s top teams and reached the FCS Playoffs in back-to-back seasons, so roster spots at linebacker go to players who are reliable, physical, and assignment-sound.[1][2] Public roster and team pages confirm he is part of Drake’s 2026 football group, but there are no widely available stat lines in the provided sources to overstate his production.[4][5] In short, he looks like the kind of **developmental linebacker** who adds value through toughness, consistency, and special-teams potential rather than flash.[1][4]
