Cole Bumpus brings Illinois State secondary depth with a veteran DB profile
Cole Bumpus is a defensive back for Illinois State whose current public stat footprint is limited, but his value is tied to providing secondary depth and matchup flexibility rather than headline-grabbing numbers. His appeal is the kind coaches like: a role player who can be trusted to learn quickly, fit into coverage structures, and compete in a system that leans on discipline and communication. Based on available public information, he looks more like a functional fit for a team seeking reliability and roster balance than a splashy stat-sheet star.
