Brent Taylor brings rangy, physical safety play to Samford
In the 2023 season, Brent Taylor listed at 6-foot-1 and 212 pounds gave Samford a sturdy, versatile presence at safety after coming out of Loganville Christian Academy with 113 career tackles, 107 solo stops, and three interceptions. His profile screams reliability and contact balance: a defender who can tackle in space, play with edge, and handle both defensive back and receiver backgrounds. If your team wants a tone-setter with proven toughness and a high floor, he’s the kind of safety you notice most when the run game gets ugly.
