Texas Tech’s Mike Smith brings proven linebacker production and coaching pedigree
Mike Smith is a Texas Tech linebacker with a strong defensive résumé, including a team-leading 83 tackles in his standout season and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention recognition, which signals high motor, reliability, and production in the run game.[8] His profile suggests a fit for teams that value instinctive, physical defenders who can stack up tackles and set the tone, though the available results do not provide current 2026 on-field stats or recent injury context for a fresh performance read.[8][3]
