Joquez Smith brings burst, balance, and transfer-tested experience to UNH’s backfield
In the 2026 season, Joquez Smith has 13 carries for 86 yards for New Hampshire, showing early efficiency and a knack for chunk gains, including an 8-carry, 64-yard outing against Syracuse highlighted by a 46-yard run. The Senior RB is a compact 5-8, 190-pound transfer from Temple with 115 career rushes for 480 yards and two rushing TDs there, plus 20 catches, so he offers more than just downhill work. He’s a useful fit if a team wants a low-center-of-gravity runner with enough burst to threaten big plays and enough receiving history to stay on the field.
