Nate Wells brings elite size and rim protection to Ball State’s frontcourt
At 7-foot-1, Nate Wells is a classic interior center whose value comes from size, rebounding, and shot-altering presence rather than heavy usage; in his most recent Ball State season, he averaged 1.6 points and about 1.4 rebounds in 7.8 minutes while shooting 44.7% from the floor. His best fit is as a low-mistake, paint-anchoring big who can absorb physical minutes, protect the rim, and give a roster a true post body; his limitations are a modest offensive role and limited scoring volume.
