Big-12-tested floor general, now bringing veteran savvy to Iowa State
In the 2010-11 season, Garrett was an All-Big 12 guard for Iowa State, averaging 17.3 points and 6.1 assists while leading the conference in minutes played, a strong sign of his toughness and command. He’s the kind of fit who gives a team poise, ball security, and real point-guard instincts, with a history of carrying heavy usage and producing efficiently from the line and from deep. The upside is leadership and feel; the tradeoff is that he’s best valued as a steady organizer rather than a pure athletic mismatch creator.
