Liam Barrett is turning into a clutch bat for UCSB
In the 2026 season, UC Santa Barbara outfielder Liam Barrett has flashed real pop and timely production, including multiple multi-hit games and a stretch of big swings that helped swing key Big West moments. His profile stands out for his gap power, versatility in the lineup, and steady defense; he also showed he can handle the moment, with reports noting a first collegiate homer, RBI double, and several clutch hits in tight conference games. He looks like a useful fit for teams wanting an energetic, contact-to-power lefty bat with some edge.
