Paul Hammonds brings UAB a tough, service-minded edge off the line
Paul Hammonds stands out less for flashy box-score numbers and more for the kind of toughness and reliability that coaches value in a defensive end. UAB’s own feature noted his Army Reserve background, which points to discipline, maturity, and a strong team-first mentality—useful traits for a player expected to set the tone at the point of attack. If you want a defender who fits a physical, hard-nosed culture and can add accountability as much as production, Hammonds is the type of fit that can quietly raise a room’s standard.
