Brian Wittenberger brings veteran size and downhill edge to Gardner-Webb’s linebacker room
Brian Wittenberger is a 6-2, 232-pound junior linebacker for Gardner-Webb who has been described by the program as a “veteran” defender with a physical style, a feel for finding the football, and a finish-the-play mentality.[2] His differentiators are size, downhill toughness, and experience, which make him the kind of linebacker who can hold up against the run and stabilize a defense with steadiness rather than flash.[2] If you want a linebacker who plays with edge and doesn’t shy from contact, he looks like a solid fit; if you need elite measurables or a stat-sheet monster, the public record here is lighter on recent production detail.[1][2]
