Battle-Tested Cal DB with Grit and Leadership
Brett Johnson is best known as a resilient, high-character Cal defender whose career has been shaped by a long recovery from serious injuries, not just box-score production; after returning for the 2023 season, he played in every game and earned a game-captain nod, signaling trust from the staff and a strong competitive edge. He profiles as a good fit for a program that values toughness, maturity, and leadership as much as raw athletic traits.
