Ball State CB with Elite Intensity and 2025 Season Breakout
Steve Monson, Ball State’s CB, emerged as a 2025 season stat leader with 48 tackles, 7 pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles, but his true differentiator is relentless intensity and a personality that elevates team morale. Unlike typical CBs, Monson plays with a ‘never-back-down’ mindset, rarely missing assignments due to injury history (only one minor ankle tweak in 2024). Coaches describe him as a ‘team-first leader’ who thrives in high-pressure situations, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a CB with both physical grit and emotional resilience. His 2025 ranking: #12 CB nationally, with scouts citing his ‘unmatched focus’ as a key differentiator.
