Brandon Johnson brings size, coverage versatility, and proven ACC production to Louisville’s linebacker room
Brandon Johnson stands out as a long, versatile defender with a track record of disrupting plays in coverage and in the backfield, including 128 tackles, 16.0 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 11 pass breakups in 37 career games at Duke in the 2023 season[2]. His 6-foot-5, 245-pound frame gives him a rare matchup profile for a linebacker, and his film/production suggest he fits best as a hybrid, nickel-friendly chess piece rather than a one-dimensional run-stopper[2][3]. If you want length, range, and playmaking upside with verified all-ACC level performance, he’s worth a close look[2].
