High-upside Sam Houston RHP still searching for consistency
In the 2025 season, Cole Marthiljohni gave Sam Houston swing-and-miss flashes but was inconsistent, finishing 2-3 with a 6.87 ERA across 21 appearances and 36.2 innings, with 27 strikeouts and 20 walks. His value is in the arm talent and reliever/workhorse versatility that kept him in the mix all year, but the command and run prevention lagged. In 2026, he remained on the roster and saw very limited action, so he looks more like a development follow than a polished plug-and-play arm.
