Jud Files is off to a dominant start for Jacksonville State
Jacksonville State junior RHP Jud Files has been one of the Gamecocks’ early 2026 standouts, posting a 0.82 ERA with 8 strikeouts in limited action, which points to real run-prevention value right now.[1][6] At 6'3" and 200 pounds, he brings a physical right-handed frame and a proven arm, and his background as a junior-college all-American suggests a competitive profile with upside rather than just short-term production.[4][7] He looks like a good fit for teams that want a strike-throwing, low-risk arm who can miss enough bats to keep innings stable.[1][6]
