UNLV’s hard-nosed, award-winning defensive leader
Joe Miklos was a standout UNLV safety whose profile was built on leadership, durability, and playmaking—he was a two-time team captain, a five-time Mountain West Conference Player of the Week, and a three-time All-Conference Safety selection during his UNLV career. He also earned the Tom Wiesner Award for courage, enthusiasm, and dedication, which hints at the kind of tone-setter coaches love: dependable, intense, and all-in. If you’re looking for a DB with real program credibility, Miklos checked the boxes that matter beyond the box score.
