Charles Brooks III: Towering EDGE Prospect Powers Northern Illinois Defense
Charles Brooks III, a 6'5", 200+ lb freshman EDGE from Cardinal Ritter (MO), enrolled at Northern Illinois in June 2025 and brings explosive athleticism with EA Sports CFB 26 ratings of 76 speed, 80 acceleration, and 76 agility—ideal for pass-rushing disruption.[7][8] His rare frame-length combo delivers power and bend around the edge, marking him as a high-upside developmental talent with no noted injury history.[1][3] Coaches love his motor and Missouri prep pedigree; a perfect fit for teams needing versatile, intense DL depth to grow into a stat-producer.[6][9]
