Nathan Denney gives UTRGV a tough, reliable downhill punch
In the 2025 season, Nathan Denney emerged as a steady, physical run-game catalyst for UTRGV, finishing with 884 rushing yards, 4.68 yards per carry, and second-team All-Conference recognition, while also showing real utility as a receiver out of the backfield.[14] He’s the kind of back who can keep an offense on schedule, finish drives, and flip momentum — highlighted by a 120-yard, two-touchdown breakout against Nicholls and a program-first road win-clinching score at Prairie View A&M.[9][12][15]
