Rice Owls' Under-the-Radar Freshman Forward with Untapped Potential
Ben Moffat, a 6-8 freshman forward for the Rice Owls, posted modest 2019-20 stats of 0.9 PPG, 0.7 RPG, and 61.5% FG on limited minutes, showcasing efficiency as a skilled high school standout from Rider High (29-6 record, First Team All-District). His size, rebounding instincts, and scoring touch make him a developmental gem for teams needing frontcourt depth—low-volume but high-impact potential without injury red flags, perfect for patient programs building around young bigs.
