Courtney Hayes brings steady playmaking and defense to Grand Canyon
Courtney Hayes is a veteran guard for Grand Canyon whose calling cards are ball security, vision, and defense; in the 2014-15 season she averaged 7.9 points, a WAC-best 4.6 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game, then followed with 195 assists in 2015-16, a Grand Canyon single-season record. She stands out as a tough, high-motor, team-first connector who can organize an offense, pressure the ball, and chip in across the box score — the kind of player coaches trust when they want poise, hustle, and clean possessions.
