Projectable lefty with Charlotte rotation upside
Chase Carson is a 6-foot-4 left-hander with a strong, projectable frame and a clean, easy delivery that evaluators have liked since his prep days; Prep Baseball highlighted his size, strength, and 61 strikeouts in 51 2/3 innings, while Charlotte’s own program has recognized him as a three-time Academic All-District selection. His college results have been uneven, with D1Baseball listing a 5.90 ERA in 2026 after a 4.83 mark in 2025, but his combination of length, strikeout potential, and feel-to-pitch makes him an intriguing fit for a staff that can develop upside rather than just chase polish.[2][3][7]
