Miles Melescu brings a live left arm and freshman upside to VMI
Melescu is a 2026 freshman left-handed pitcher at VMI from Chesapeake, Va., and the early read is simple: he’s a young arm with enough profile to get on the mound right away. VMI listed him as a left-handed pitcher on its 2026 roster, and analytics tracking shows he already made 2 appearances in 2026[1][2]. He fits the mold of a developmental southpaw—valuable because lefties always travel well, and his pitchability ceiling could make him a sneaky-good fit if a staff wants a moldable arm rather than a finished product[1][2].
