Kent State’s do-it-all forward with elite defensive instincts
Haminn Quaintance has long been the kind of forward coaches love: a high-impact, ultra-versatile defender who blocks shots, rebounds, passes, and finishes efficiently. In his 2007-08 Kent State season, he was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year and averaged 11.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.8 steals, while also winning tournament MVP and helping Kent State win the MAC title. He’s a fit if you want toughness, activity, and playmaking from the frontcourt—less flashy than a pure scorer, but absolutely a stat-sheet nuisance.
