a battle-tested, academically polished interior anchor for Ball State
Andrew Poenitsch’s profile is built on reliability: in the 2019 season, the Ball State center started nine games, missed three with an injury, and still helped drive a run game that topped 200 rushing yards in seven of eight league games. He also carried strong academic credentials, including multiple Academic All-MAC honors and a 3.767 GPA, which signals a high-football-IQ, detail-driven lineman. Recruiting outlets listed him as a quality interior line prospect, and Ball State previously highlighted him as an all-state, team-captain type with offensive-lineman-of-the-year credentials—basically, the kind of sturdy, smart blocker coaches love to plug in and trust.
