Big frame, developmental QB with Louisiana roots
In the 2023 season, Dylan Mehrotra was a reserve quarterback at Southern who saw limited game action, but his profile still stands out: a 6-foot-3 Baton Rouge native with size, reported multi-sport background, and developmental upside that fits a patient, tools-based evaluation. He looks more like a long-term project than an immediate stat producer, which is exactly why he’s intriguing for programs that value arm talent, athletic ceiling, and local ties over instant fireworks. The fit question is less about current production and more about whether a staff wants to bet on traits, poise, and upside.
