NDSU’s big-bodied sophomore left little doubt he can handle innings
In the 2026 season, Garrett Shupe showed real rotation depth for North Dakota State, making 12 appearances and seven starts while logging 31.2 innings with 21 strikeouts and a 2-2 record. The 6-foot-4 sophomore from Mosinee, Wis., gives the Bison a durable, starter-capable arm, and his season-best 6.0 innings against St. Thomas hints at some stamina. He’s not yet a headline strikeout monster, but his ability to hold down a role and give length makes him a useful fit for teams valuing size, upside, and innings-eating reliability.
