Gabrielle Briones is a contact-driven, high-OBP middle-infield bat for New Mexico
Briones is a steady, two-way table-setter for the Lobos: in the 2026 season through April 21, she was hitting .359 with 43 hits, 20 RBI, 27 runs, a .441 on-base percentage and a .525 slugging mark, while also handling shortstop at a .930 fielding clip[1]. She earned Mountain West honorable mention recognition and was named to the Academic All-District team, underscoring both her production and reliability[3][15]. Her profile fits a team that values a tough, versatile INF who competes consistently, contributes at the plate, and brings maturity and discipline beyond the box score[2][3].
