Alex Merkviladze is LMU’s steady two-way forward with proven scoring touch and rebounding impact
In the 2024-25 season, Alex Merkviladze gave Loyola Marymount a reliable veteran frontcourt presence as a team captain, averaging 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds while starting all 32 games and ranking second on the team in rebounds and third in assists.[14][11] His best value is versatility: he can score inside and step out to hit threes, and he posted a career milestone by topping 1,000 career points in December 2024.[14][18] He’s a good fit for teams that want experienced, tough-minutes production and a forward who contributes without needing the offense built around him.[14]
