Versatile, rangy DB with NFL-tested ball skills
Erick Hallett II is a compact, versatile defensive back who brought nickel/safety flexibility to Pitt and later earned NFL looks because of his zone awareness, quick transitions, and willingness to trigger downhill. In Pitt’s 2022 season, he posted 54 tackles and 3 interceptions, a strong signal of his playmaking range and instinctive feel. Analysts have also praised his eyes in zone coverage and his versatility, while noting below-average top-end speed and some vulnerability to double moves. If your team wants a smart, competitive DB who can fill multiple roles and handle complex coverage duties, he’s a fit.
