Demitris Starks brings length, burst, and transfer-tested upside to SJSU’s linebacker room
Demitris Starks is a San Jose State linebacker whose appeal is less about box-score glamour and more about athletic upside, physicality, and a transfer pedigree that has already earned him recognition as a Newcomer of the Year in a previous stop[1]. He looks like the kind of LB who can fit a modern defense: active, disruptive, and useful if your staff wants a high-motor defender who can grow into a bigger role. Public stat detail for 2026 is limited, so the clean read is that Starks is a traits-and-tape bet with clear development value[2][4].
