Columbia’s Tony Lucas: physical, experienced, and dependable in the secondary
Tony Lucas is a Columbia defensive back whose value comes from steady, assignment-sound play rather than splashy production; his background as a standout high school DB and his coaching experience give him a reputation for toughness, leverage, and understanding the game. He’s the kind of safety a staff can trust to communicate, tackle cleanly, and keep the defense organized, which makes him a fit for teams that want reliability and football IQ over raw athletic fireworks.
