Marcus Kirkwood gives Colorado a rare size-and-power kicker look
Marcus Kirkwood is a 6-foot-6, 220-pound place kicker for Colorado who first arrived as a walk-on and has been described by the program as the tallest kicker in school history, with the kind of raw leg strength and kickoff value that can tilt field position in a hurry. In Colorado’s spring work, he went 5-for-5 on PATs, hit 2-of-6 field goals, and drilled a 45-yarder, showing live-leg upside but also some consistency questions. If your team wants a kicker with unusual athletic traits and long-range potential, Kirkwood is intriguing; if you need a polished, game-ready certainty, he still looks like a project.
