Texas Tech’s versatile, high-motor Swiss Army knife
Tyler Scalzi is best known as a tough, versatile Texas Tech piece rather than a volume-stat producer: the Red Raiders listed him as a tight end/fullback, and in the 2015 season he played in 12 games mainly on special teams as a reserve blocking back. Tech’s pro-day notes from 2017 underline the selling point—he tested with a 32.5-inch vertical, a 10-foot-6 broad jump, and 37 bench reps, hinting at real functional strength and explosion. The short version: if you want effort, blocking, and flexibility, Scalzi fits.
