Western Illinois LB with Proven Tackling Pedigree from 2009 Era
Andrew Briones, a linebacker for the Western Illinois Leathernecks, wrapped up his playing career around the 2009 NCAAF season with solid defensive stats including tackles, per ESPN records—highlighting his reliability as a team defender with ground ball and turnover skills carried over from high school highlights on Hudl. No recent college football performance data available as he's transitioned to coaching men's lacrosse at William Jewell (named head coach in 2025) and playing D2 men's volleyball at Marian University in 2026 (0.93 digs/set). A gritty, multi-sport leader with captain experience at Newberry lacrosse, but outdated for current NFL scouting—better fit for coaching pipelines than active rosters.
