Brandon Evans brings Rice a rugged, paint-first presence
Brandon Evans is a Rice men’s basketball big man whose value comes from old-school interior work: rebounding, physicality, and taking up space in the paint. The available Rice references point to an Evans who was known as a strong, 6-9, 260-pound rebounder early in his Rice career, which is exactly the kind of profile that translates as a rim-protecting, board-cleaning frontcourt fit. If your team needs a high-motor, blue-collar F/C who can win the dirty possessions, he checks the box; if you want a stretch big or perimeter scorer, this is not that guy.
